Plum Island Jetty

Plum Island Pilgrimage

Each year in the spring, Boston Center holds a meditation and flower ceremony on the beach at Plum Island.  In April 1921, Paramahansa Yogananda and Dr. Minott Lewis, an early disciple, meditated for five hours on the jetty at this location.

The 2024 outing to Plum Island will be held Sunday, June 2. We will gather in the parking lot beside the playground at 2 p.m. and walk together to the jetty. The pilgrimage event will begin at 2:30 p.m. beside the jetty and last a half hour. It will include a brief meditation, a reading, and a rose petal ceremony. After the service we will share a meal at a nearby Indian restaurant.

Please join us! Family and friends are warmly welcome!
